I think it is fair to say that I am really excited about this coming season. First off when it gets to the colder seasons I always feel as though I can experiment more as you can layer up and wear a variety of materials that would be far too warm to wear in Summer. However, most importantly I am excited because these Autumn/Winter trends are almost completely my style. There are many new trends but here are the biggest. Right, let’s jump straight in!
Yellow
A colour that I feel many people are afraid to wear too much of it definitely yellow. Some people may try a yellow top here or a yellow bag there but too rarely people don’t go for it. So if you have been considering dabbling with a bit of this bright colour now is the time.

Leather
Bring a bit of glam to your look with a piece of leather. The great thing about leather is it will always make you look great whilst being a long lasting item of clothing that can be worn with any outfit, dressed up or dress down. Many may frown upon the use of leather and there are a few alternatives such as faux, recycled and vegetable tanned leathers. It isn’t for everyone but if you are up for it… experiment!

Checks
You should definitely check this one out… sorry, no more puns! Checks are so versatile, you can wear them casual, smart or smart-casual and still look put together. The one place to avoid wearing checks is when dressing for a very formal event.

Pleats
A schoolgirl classic here for a spin, pleats are in for a whirl.

Tweed
It is a classic for men and women. When I see tweed, I think quality. This is the first piece I will be hunting down before the colder weather kicks off. Coats, jackets, skirts or accessories, this material even in small quantity can showcase style.

Shine
Night out or stand out, adding a bit of gloss to your outfit could never be a bad thing.

Modesty
After so much going on in the Media at the moment I love that modest dressing is a trend. I think it is amazing that it is fashionable to dress how you want, including covering up more. In my opinion, I find it great that attention can be drawn to out clothes instead of to our skin.

Animal Print
For some, this is a big no. Animal print used to remind me of old ladies and I admit it has taken a while to shake that. However, after seeing the prints on the runway this year not looking as loud and typical as I remember them to be, I am beginning to get a shopping itch.
